For Ashlee

This sounds pretty cool. I thought of you. I want to try it too!

Soft shadows

It's been lovely and cool and cloudy again.

For Adam

This caught my eye at the grocery store and thought of you and all the times we used to read this together.

Hey Ashlee

I think you can probably find the Norma Kamali for Walmart bathing suits online. Does this blog post mean that these styles are sold at Walmart? I only see the one shoulder one, and they have a medium. Oh my gosh, she has an eBay store now, too.

Hey Luke

This photo of Sweden from this blog post reminded me of that movie we both liked.

Hey Adam

When I googled this, found these pics. I mean it as a compliment, completely! Vulcan logic is often needed :). Live long and prosper!

Amma

What a beautiful spirit....and inspiring film, I finally got to watch it this week, twice!

Cool cloudy walk

through Volunteer Park this morning and ended up here.

See the chandeliers? Love the green chairs with the red tables.

And the iced latte's were delicious. More phone shots here.

Summer tv

I'm in love with Nurse Jackie. After airing it's first episode, Showtime has already renewed it for a second season, so I guess everyone likes it too. I thought it would be good, but it exceeded my expectations, for which I am grateful because the new season of Weeds is just as ridiculous as the last, but I keep watching it anyway.

More uses for molasses:

This photo is from The Amateur Gourmet. It's pineapple with molasses and lime zest, what an interesting recipe! I am going to try it...and I completely agree about that boring tv show. I only saw one episode, but it was unwatchable. But I too still love Mario. Oh, the other thing I have been doing with molasses is having it mixed in milk over ice. It's like a latte, very delicious!

It feels good

to finally take the pile of things to donate to Value Village. The wall in the parking lot is gorgeous, and all I had was my phone to snap a pic of it.

Hey Luke,

This look kind of reminded me of you. The photo is from Blackbird, remember that place?

Good message

That haunting music

from this video is from this artist called Colleen. I bought these two albums to listen to when we were at the hotel. Luke, I think you told me about her, or were listening to her first one? She has a pretty website.

Inspiring

Older women as icons of fearlessness...more interested in what they are looking at, than being looked at. Yet mindful of beauty too: The great American artist Georgia O'Keefe said: "Art is important in everyday life. When you buy a pair of shoes or place a window or address a letter or comb your hair, consider it carefully so that it looks well."
