What to do when you find a great leather jacket

at the thrift store and it's just a bit too big?  I was intrigued to read about washing leather jackets to change not only the size but the feel.  I've noticed that some leather jackets, including my little favorite, say "washed leather" or "shrunken leather".  Here's a nice post (and photo, but he has his sad fashion face on) from the Blackbird blog that explains it well.
