I was reading reviews of this book on Amazon tonight and one of them included an inspiring quote from the book, attributed to1960's House Beautiful editor, Elizabeth Gordon: "If you can't find beauty--for free--when you are poor, you won't be likely to have it when you are rich...even though you may have bought and paid for it." When I googled the quote, this article came up. I had this book years ago and loved it. I think I gave it away at some point. So I reserved it at the library.

Sounds like an interesting book. I like the quote.
Reminds me of the song I heard recently from RHNYC - Countess LuAnne sings, "Money can't buy you class."
